He was born in Athens. His father’s job and mother’s love for cooking brought him from an early age into contact with different local cuisines. So, although he studied at the Technical University of Crete, his road eventually led him to cooking, which resulted in a degree from Le Monde Institute of Hotel & Tourism Studies. He has worked in big hotels and restaurants, with renowned chefs, such as Sotiris Evangelou and Andreas Lagos, serving as his mentors. He is a big fan of Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine and he loves motorsport and parachuting.
